Deadbolts: A deadbolt will be placed on an external door, meaning the door will open to the outside. You really shouldn’t need one on an internal door that opens to, say, the bathroom. You can get a double deadbolt, single deadbolt or lockable thumb turn. You will often see single cylinder deadbolts, especially in homes. But if people are leaving, it can be locked with ease.
Knob Locks: This kind of lock is installed on exterior doors in combination with deadbolts. It might actually function as the main source of security for the door. The lock cylinder could easily be broken off the door so one must be cautious with this.
Lever handle locks: This type of lock tends to be utilized for inner doors in commercial properties. Why? Well, they are easier to open than other locks. They have a handle that can be pushed down. If you’re looking for accessibility for persons who are handicapped, then you might want to consider a lever handle lock.
